Bettas and Gouramies

I've always liked Siamese fighters and gouramies. One of my first big breeding projects was the blue gourami. From the common dwarf gourami and Betta splendens to the more obscure croaking gouramies, labyrinth fish occupy a special place in my heart.

Here you will find information on spawning Bettas splendens and Croaking gouramies. Below is a sequence of one of my mongrel bettas. He really is much nicer than he appears in the pictures. His grandfather was a grizzled blue Cambodian and his grandmother a mongrel red. His parents were both reddish with blue/violet streaking in the fins. There is also a list of Betta related links.
